In
addition to having great beaches, Maui is one of the world's premier golf
destinations with each course offering a perfect blend of forgiveness and
challenge combined with stunning views of the deep blue Pacific and surrounding
islands. Several PGA and Senior PGA golf tournaments are held each year on
Maui's courses. And South Maui has the perfect weather to go with the best golf
in Hawaii.
There are 4 great courses within 6 miles of the condo. They
are the Wailea Old Blue Golf Club, Wailea Emerald Course, Wailea Gold Course,
and Maui Nui Golf Club (old
Elleair). In addition, within 23 miles there are Kahili, Dunes at Maui Lani,
Pukalani, and Waiehu. I've personally played all of these courses and they are
great. It's hard to decide which to play.
Depending on the season, the
courses can be quite busy so I recommend you reserve a date and time in
advance.

This course opened in 1987, and was originally known as Silversword,

Pukalani's fairways are wide and hilly, and its greens are
fast and sloped. The course is located at 1,100 feet in elevation, resulting in
cooler playing conditions. The biggest challenges come from the wind and
elevation changes. The high elevation provides some great views of the Island
of Maui.
